Hilde Perdok is junior scientist at the section Midwifery Science, EMGO Institute for Health and Care Research, VU university medical center, Amsterdam and clinical midwife at Catharina hospital in Eindhoven.

Hilde Perdok qualified as a midwife in 2000 in Amsterdam and gained her Master-degree in Midwifery at the University of Amsterdam in 2007 with a research paper on objectives for Dutch midwives to work for non-governmental organisations.
She was coordinator of the Twin to Twin project which is a partnership between de KNOV and Sierra Leone Midwives organisation. She was chairman of midwives4mothers foundation. From 2007-2009 she worked as a policy advisor with the Royal Dutch Organisation of Midwives (KNOV). In 2006 she went on field-mission for Doctors without Borders in Ivory Coast.
In December 2011 she started working for the section Midwifery Science, EMGO Institute for Health and Care Research. A KNOV PhD scholarship was awarded in 2014 for the INCAS project.
