Bart Hattink is a clinical neuropsychologist and works as a junior researcher at the VU University Medical Center, department of Psychiatry. At EMGO+, he does research in the Mental Health research programme. 

His main expertise, and topic of his PhD thesis, is assisting people with dementia and informal carers through personalized assistive technology. He is working on several E-Health and domotica projects, such as the Rosetta domotica system, the Into D'mentia dementia simulator, the STAR E-learning courses and the Digital Alzheimercenter patient portal. 

He graduated as a neuropsychologist in 2009 with additional Master's degree courses in clinical psychology. After backpacking South-East Asia and working briefly as a trainee Air Traffic Controller, he started working as a junior researcher at the department of Psychiatry in May 2011.
