Sep 2013 - present: Development of a core outcome set for clinical trials in non-specific low back pain. This project includes:

  • Design, conduction and data analysis of two Delphi surveys to reach international and multidisciplinary consensus on core outcome domains and core outcome measurement instruments
  • Design, conduction and data analysis of four systematic reviews on the measurement properties of patient-reported questionnaires for non-specific low back pain
  • Coordination of the international steering committee collaborating on this project

 

Sep 2013 - present: Assessment of the measurement properties of the Pain Self-Efficacy Questionnaire. This project includes:

  • Design and data analysis of two longitudinal observational studies: one in patients with chronic low back pain and one in patients with neck related disorders
  • Coordination of the data collection
  • A collaboration with University of Bologna and the Salvatore Maugeri Foundation (Lissone, Italy)

 

Jan 2014 - present: Development of the Italian version of the Central Sensitization Inventory. This project includes:

  • Design and data analysis of a cross-sectional observational study in patients with chronic pain
  • Coordination of the data collection
  • A collaboration with University of Genoa and University of Padua (Italy)

 

Mar 2015 - Nov 2015: Assessment of the biomedical scale of the Pain Attitudes and Beliefs Scale with item response theory. This project included:

  • An academic visit and a collaboration with the Research Institute of Primary Care and Health Sciences of the Keele University (UK)
  • Data analysis of two cross-sectional surveys of health care professionals working in the UK

 

Sep 2013 - Jul 2015: Systematic review on the prevalence of myofascial trigger points in spinal pain disorders. This project included:

  • Design, conduction and data analysis of a systematic review of observational studies
  • A collaboration with the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland and the University Rey Juan Carlos of Madrid (Spain)

 

Sep 2013 - Aug 2014: Cochrane systematic review on multidisciplinary rehabilitation for chronic low back pain. This project included:

  • Studies' screening and data extraction from clinical trials included in this review

 

Sep 2011 - Mar 2014: Development of the Italian version of the Pain Self-Efficacy Questionnaire. This project included:

  • Design, conduction and data analysis of a process of cross-cultural adaptation and of a cross-sectional study in patients with chronic low back pain
  • Coordination and direct involvement in the data collection
  • A collaboration with University of Bologna and the Salvatore Maugeri Foundation (Lissone, Italy)

 

Sep 2011 - May 2013: Assessment of pain mechanisms in elderly patients with thumb carpo-metacarpal osteoarthritis. This project included:

  • Data analysis of two cross-sectional studies
  • A collaboration with University Rey Juan Carlos of Madrid (Spain)
