Roderick Slieker works as Postdoctoral researcher at the department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics  (VUmc) and Molecular Cell Biology (LUMC).

In 2011 Roderick obtained his Master Drug Innovation. Between 2011 and 2016 he did his PhD (defense Feb 2017) with a focus on the dynamics of the epigenome across the human lifespan, from early development to the changes that occur during ageing. 

From 2016 onwards his research focuses on the use of 'omics' to predict the progression of type 2 diabetes and its complications, particularly within the IMI project RHAPSODY.
