Alessandra Grasso is a PhD-student at the Department of Health Sciences, VU University Amsterdam.

Her research is embedded within two European-wide projects: MooDFOOD (Multi-Country Collaborative Project on the Role of Diet, Food-Related Behaviour and Obesity in the Prevention of Depression) and PROMISS (PRevention of Malnutrition in Senior Subjects in the EU). Alessandra is investigating the environmental impact of dietary intake patterns and food-related behaviors suggested to protect against depression (MooDFOOD) and to enhance healthy ageing (PROMISS).

Alessandra completed her Master in Science Public Health with a concentration in global health and human nutrition at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore, Maryland, U.S.A.
