Natasja van  Schoor

Natasja van Schoor is working as assistant professor and senior epidemiologist at the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, EMGO Institute for Health and Care Research, VU University Medical Center. She is involved in research of the Longitudinal Aging Study Amsterdam (LASA) and the department of Endocrinology.

Her main research topic is the prevention of decreased physical functioning, falls and fractures in older persons, with special emphasis on:

* Osteoporosis, osteoarthritis and comorbidity
* Vitamin D deficiency 

Short biography
She studied Health Sciences at the University Maastricht from 1993 to 1998. Her main subjects were Nursing Science and Epidemiology. She completed her study with an internship on risk factors for falls and the prevention of falls by exercises.
