1989: Quantitative research concerning the possible integration of Health Care Centres in the Primary Health Care Structure in East Cameroon.

1990: Comparative research concerning the functioning of a primary health project in Northern Cameroon ("Centre d'Instruction Médicale", Maroua).

1991 - 1998: University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands: PhD research on everyday health care. Aspects of practical management of health problems by children of young mothers. The research looked into differences in three ethnic groups in the Netherlands.

2000: Working group on Strategic Health Management – development of Principles and guidelines for the oil and gas industry. International Association of Oil and Gas Producers. Key issues: development of sustainable health care through community participation, alignment with government policies and building relationships with international organisations, including WHO.

2002: For Leiden University medical center: Contributions to an international, multidisciplinary research into the functioning of donor registries for bone marrow in Europe. Research subject: Organisational comparison of registries; donor sociology; government policies. Ultimate aim: identification of instruments and guidelines to to enlarge transplantation efficiency.

2004: Health and social impact assessment for an Environmental, Safety and Health Impact Assessment (ESHIA) Study for the Pearl GTL project, the world’s largest gas to liquids plant, Qatar. Consultancy assignment with CH2M Hill (Consultancy firm), for Shell.

2008: Research project: "Preparation of halal meals in the VUmc patient's kitchen". Focus group discussion with kitchen and nursing staff.
